Great products are important, but they don't sell themselves.

You can have the most incredible products, but if no one knows about them, you won't see the success you deserve. Many of us waste time and money trying to prove ourselves right, letting our ego get in the way. We obsess over the tiniest details, hoping it will become the best product out there. But we all know where that leads: we get stuck, spending days, months, and sometimes years making changes. And the longer we stay in that hole, the more insecure we become about our product and vision.

What if we let our inner entrepreneur take the lead? What if, instead of seeking validation from our peers, we looked for potential customers? What if we took a break from creating and focused on learning how to sell what we already have?

Marketing is the key. It's not just about ads. It's about sharing, inviting others to see how we do what we do. Marketing is about showing people why we do what we do, and how it can benefit them. It teaches us how to better understand our customers, what they like, and what they don't like.

All designers and developers have the potential to be great marketers. We just need to get comfortable with sharing more. Marketing doesn't mean that you need to be an extrovert or that you need to have a huge advertising budget. Instead, it's about creating a connection with your audience. You don't need to have millions of followers or a viral post to be successful. You just need to be authentic and share what you're passionate about.

Start small by documenting your progress and sharing it on social media. It's not about creating perfect content, but about building momentum and creating a habit of sharing. Start today and create less, but share more. Share your story, show behind-the-scenes of your product development, or teach something you've learned recently.

All designers and developers have the potential to be great marketers - it's time to unlock that potential. The more you share, the more comfortable you'll become with marketing. And the more you market, the greater your success will be.
